Pantry Math: Stop Buying Groceries You Already Own
Every duplicate in your kitchen is sitting in the back third of a shelf. Shelf depth, pull-outs and zones, and when the cabinetry is the problem rather than your method.
CUSTOM KITCHEN CABINETS · KITCHENER, ON
Stock kitchen cabinets come in fixed 3-inch increments, and Kitchener’s century homes and post-war bungalows almost never do. Dream Spaces designs, builds and installs custom kitchen cabinets measured to your actual walls and ceiling height, from Victoria Park brick houses to new townhomes out in Huron Park.
Serving Kitchener and Waterloo Region
OUR WORK
From narrow galley kitchens in older Kitchener neighbourhoods to open-plan townhouses, the constraint is almost always storage. The projects below show how we solve it: custom kitchen storage designed first, cabinetry built to measure second. The same team builds custom closets across Waterloo Region.
WHY DREAM SPACES
Kitchener’s housing stock is wonderfully inconsistent: a Berlin-era brick house, a 1950s bungalow and a Doon townhome need three different kitchens. That’s the case for custom: we design to the house you have, use the full ceiling height, and build in the storage the original kitchen never had.
We start with your kitchen, not a catalogue. A designer comes to you (at your home, or over video if that’s easier) and builds the plan around how you actually cook.
Every cabinet is designed and built for your kitchen: no stock sizes, no filler strips. Canadian-made materials, professional build, and a finish that lasts.
No franchise overhead. Direct relationships, faster decisions, and a team that takes every project personally.
For as long as you own your home. Quality backed by a warranty that means something.
SERVICES
Every kitchen works differently. Dream Spaces designs custom cabinetry and storage that fit how you cook, shop and gather, and builds them to fit the room exactly.
HOW IT WORKS
Consultation, design, build, install. One team carries your Kitchener kitchen through all four stages, with no hand-off in the middle.
We start with a relaxed conversation: at your home, or over video if that’s easier. We’ll walk through your kitchen together, talk about what’s working (and what isn’t), and get a clear picture of how you cook, shop and gather.
Next, we design your kitchen around you. You’ll get a rendering of your cabinetry (pantry walls, islands, full runs) tailored to your layout, your storage needs and your style.
Our own team handles installation from start to finish. We show up on time, protect your home, and fit every cabinet to the room: scribed, levelled and adjusted until it’s right.
We’ll walk through everything together to make sure it’s exactly how you want it.
Yes. We design and build cabinetry at our Barrie workshop and our own team installs it in Kitchener, no subcontracted crews. Consultations happen at your home or over video.
The honest answer is a measured design, not a bracket: the size of the kitchen, the materials and the door style drive the number, and every one of them is a choice you control. Our custom kitchen cabinets page breaks down the drivers before you ever book a consultation.
That’s exactly what custom is for. We measure the room as it actually is (out-of-square corners, sloping floors, wavy plaster) and build cabinetry that gets scribed and levelled to it. Stock boxes assume a house that Kitchener’s older streets stopped being decades ago.
Usually. A floor-to-ceiling pantry cabinet needs only about two feet of wall and often replaces several times its footprint in scattered cupboard space. In smaller Kitchener kitchens we look at vertical storage first.

Every duplicate in your kitchen is sitting in the back third of a shelf. Shelf depth, pull-outs and zones, and when the cabinetry is the problem rather than your method.

A chair needs three feet of floor behind it to stand up out of; a bench needs none. The dimensions that make built-in seating comfortable, and the tradeoff to know first.

Most kitchens aren’t short of storage volume, they’re short of reachable storage. A walk through the blind corner, the deep base cabinet, the space above the fridge and the toe kick.
