Honey Harbour is a launch point, not a destination
Most of the cottages out past Honey Harbour are on islands, so the town side is where the truck stops and the boat starts. That shapes the job more than anything about the room. We flat pack, label by room, and load in the order it comes off the other end, so nobody is standing on a dock in the rain trying to work out which box is the pantry.
Island cottages run smaller and work harder
Square footage on an island is expensive to build and slow to add to, so the places tend to be compact and every wall is already doing something. That is where built-in beats freestanding by a wide margin: a wall bed in the bunkie, a bench with storage in it rather than a bench and a bin, and full-height cabinets instead of a dresser with dead air above it.
Closing up matters more when you cannot pop back
You cannot easily drive over in February to check on an island place. So whatever you leave has to be properly shut: closed doors, hard surfaces, nothing soft on an open shelf. We build the closing-up storage as part of the design rather than as an afterthought, and we size it off what you actually put away, counted at the measure.

Do you deliver to island cottages?
We do, by working with your boat or barge rather than around it. The cabinetry ships flat packed and assembles on site, which is the only sensible way to get a full run across water. Say it is island access on the first call so the packing plan is right from the start.
How far is Honey Harbour from you?
About 56 minutes from 73 Saunders Rd in Barrie. Port Severn, MacTier and the Muskoka Landing side are all closer still, which makes the south bay one of the shorter runs we do.
Can you put a wall bed in a bunkie?
That is one of the most useful things you can do to a small building. A bunkie that sleeps four on the long weekend and nothing in February gets its floor back the rest of the year. We build the bed and the surrounding storage as one unit so the reveals line up rather than reading as a bed with shelves beside it.
What does a Georgian Bay project cost?
